AirPods 3: Apple has started production, release is imminent
AirPods 3 are on the way. According to industry reports, Apple has already started mass production of its wireless headphones. We therefore expect the Californian brand to present the third generation of AirPods during a second keynote in the fall.
The AirPods 3 were not presented during the keynote dedicated to the iPhone 13 and the Apple Watch Series 7. Instead of the new wireless headphones, Apple has lifted the veil on two new iPads: an iPad mini 6 compatible 5G and an iPad 9.
According to many analysts and leakers, including the inevitable Ming Chi Kuo, Apple has finally decided to launch AirPods 3 during a second fall keynote. The Californian giant is said to have planned several online presentations, as was the case last year. The restrictions linked to the health crisis have forced Apple to review its habits. Rather than inviting an audience of journalists for each new product, Apple simply broadcasts an introductory video. This new approach allows the firm to multiply keynotes.
Apple is preparing to present the AirPods 3, it is confirmed
According to information from Digitimes, Apple has already started mass production of its AirPods 3. According to industry sources, “Component suppliers and assemblers have already launched shipments of Apple’s next-generation AirPods, but overall shipments are progressing slowly”. Obviously, the mass production of headphones is already well advanced.
In this context, it is rumored thata second keynote would be organized in October. The presentation would be dedicated to AirPods 3 and a new Macs offering. It is also possible that Apple will opt for a simple press release to reveal the headphones. The Cupertino company had also contented with a press release to announce the AirPods Max, AirPods Pro and AirPods 2.
Under these conditions, we would be surprised if Apple unveils the new AirPods during a conference. The latest news is that Apple has completely revised the design of the AirPods with a shorter and more discreet stem directly inspired by the AirPods Pro. The headphones would again opt for an open design rather than an in-ear. Finally, Apple reportedly shrunk the size of the wireless charging case. We will tell you more as soon as possible.
