AirPods Pro: Apple extends replacement program up to 3 years
AirPods Pro suffer from a series of malfunctions. Aware of the failures of its headphones, Apple launched an exchange program last year. The manufacturer of Cupertino recently extended the validity period of the replacement program to 3 years after purchase.
At the end of October 2020, Apple implemented an exchange program for AirPods Pro. A year after the market release, the Silicon Valley giant recognized the existence of audio malfunctions on wireless headphones.
Apple evoked crackling, regular and intense static noises “in a noisy environment, during training or during a telephone call ” and active noise reduction anomalies, the main asset of this Pro version. On its site, Apple details “A decrease in bass sound or an increase in background sounds” when reduction is activated.

A year later, Apple decided toextend the duration of the replacement program. The exchange period for defective AirPods Pro will now extend for 3 years, up from two years before the announcement. “The affected AirPod Pro (left, right or both) will be replaced free of charge by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Center”, announces the Californian group.
