by mobailee April 20, 2022 156

Amazon Games hadn’t released mobile games since Lost Within and Til Morning’s Light in 2015. But the American giant’s video game development arm is returning to the smartphone market with a much different approach. This time, Amazon is turning to young people with two new games for his offer Amazon Kids+.

What is Amazon Kids+?

Amazon Kids+ is the children’s equivalent of the subscription AmazonPrime. This gives access to a catalog of films and series, a music streaming platform, free games each month as well as in-game content and a free subscription per month on Twitch.

This subscription for the youngest includes booksfrom moviesfrom emissions as well as apps and games. in short, it is a complete pack for children, halfway betweeneducation and the entertainment. This content bundle is available on Android, iOS, and Kindle devices. The Amazon Kids+ subscription costs $2.99 per month with one month free trial. It is currently only available in Germany, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom and United States.

Amazon Games launches two new mobile games

After trying out PC games with New World and Lost ArkAmazon Games returns to its first love: the mobile game. For this return, these are two games adapted from original Prime Video animated series that integrate the Amazon Kids+ catalog.

super spy ryan

Super Spy Ryan is a arena fighting game adapted from the eponymous animated series, itself inspired by the YouTube channel Ryan’s World. Players compete in 3 against 3 in order to recover stolen gifts the diabolical Packrat.

Children will obviously be able to find all their favorite characters from the series and customize their outfits and equipment. Super Spy Ryan is already available through Amazon Kids+.

Do Re Mi

Another adaptation of an animated series, Do, Ré & Mi is a musical game for 3 to 6 year olds. Several mini-games are offered to awaken the senses of the little ones through music. The game is primarily based on practice, with piano or percussion pieces. However, the theoretical aspect is also approached with the basics of reading sheet music or learning certain technical terms, such as solo, duet or canon.

In the voice cast of the game, we find the actresses Jackie Tohn (GLOW) and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, The Good Place). The Do, Ré & Mi game is also available now thanks to Amazon Kids+.

On the competition side, Netflix has already launched into mobile games with several titles Stranger ThingsHextech Mayhem: A League of Legend Story, Asphalt Xtreme or various card, golf, basketball or shooting games.

What market for Amazon after mobile games?

Amazon continues to multiply its activities. We can legitimately wonder what will be the next market to invest for Amazon? Well, if Amazon continues its momentum by betting on the young generation, the metaverse seems appropriate.

To prepare users for the arrival of the metaverse, Amazon has recently made the game available. AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner. The objective of this serious games is to train Internet users in cloud fundamentals and its various services in the form of a role-playing game.

As we told you about in a previous article, Epic Games has partnered with LEGO to create an immersive virtual environment where children can evolve in complete safety. So we are getting closer and closer to the metaverse warwhich will notably see Facebook and Epic Games. Since Jeff Bezos likes to play on all fronts, it’s hard to imagine Amazon not getting in on the action, especially with announcements like this.
