Amazon could announce new Echo speakers on September 28

Amazon has sent out an invitation to various media outlets for an event on September 28, during which the company will unveil new products. As stated in the invitation, the event will focus on “what’s new with the latest devices, features and services from Amazon”.

Amazon has invited different media for an event to be held next week, Tuesday September 28 at 6 p.m. French time. The invitation doesn’t contain a lot of information other than asking members of the press to join the company for an invitation-only streaming event.

This annual event is usually the time for Amazon to showcase its latest Echo devices ahead of the holiday season and it’s usually where we hear about it. future updates to Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Luna, and Amazon Music.

What could Amazon announce at its conference?

In 2020, Amazon announced new fourth-generation Echo speakers, its Luna cloud gaming service, Wi-Fi 6-enabled Eero mesh routers, and Fire TV devices. The company had also shown a Ring surveillance drone for his home, but we haven’t heard from him since that event. Amazon could therefore take advantage of this event at the end of the month to finally give a release date for its security drone.

This year, we also expect to hear about the next series of Echo devices, including new smart speakers, new smart screens and other connected accessories. We can also expect announcements regarding new Eero and Ring devices for the smart home.

Unlike last year, however, Amazon is not expected to present a new Fire Stick, as it already unveiled its new Fire TV Stick 4K Max TV Stick earlier this month with the company’s first TVs. The new TVs made by Amazon are available for pre-order for US customers and are expected to arrive in October.

Finally, we can also expect news about the Luna cloud gaming service, which is currently celebrating its first anniversary. For now, Luna is only available in the United States, but it is hoped that Amazon will soon launch the platform in other countries to compete with other services like Stadia and GeForce Now.
