Android 12 beta 3 is available and brings many new features
Google just released a new beta for Android 12. Beta 3 continues to add features including scrolling screenshots, faster universal app search on the device, and improved auto-rotate.
A little over a month after the second beta of Android 12, Google has finally released the third for its Pixel smartphones. Regarding the schedule of Android 12, this third beta of Android 12 is important, because this is the last version before the operating system is deployed to a stable version in the fall.
This means thatthis is presumably the last update to introduce a whole bunch of new features. Indeed, Google should then focus on fixing the bugs before launching a stable version.

What new features does Android 12 beta 3 bring?
Android 12 Beta 3 introduces scrolling screenshots. When you take a screenshot, there will be a new “Capture more” button in the menu that takes users to a full preview with the ability to adjust the crop. Applications with a highly personalized user interface will also be able to take advantage of a new ScrollCapture API.
Google has also improved its auto-rotate feature. Rather than just using your smartphone’s accelerometer, auto-rotate will also be based on what your device’s front camera sees to be faster and responsive. Indeed, it will now take into account the way you look at your phone to know if you want to use it in landscape or portrait mode. If you don’t want to use your front camera, the standard automatic rotation has nevertheless become up to 25% faster with this update.
Another notable improvement in the third beta of Android 12 is the addition of a new search engine on the device called AppSearch, that makes it quick and easy for apps to find data on your phone without sacrificing security. Google is also emphasizing the importance it places on mobile games by announcing features such as “Play as You Download”. It will soon be possible to launch certain games while they are installing on your smartphone, provided that the developer has made this possible.
Android 12 Beta 3 is available now on select Pixel phones and can be installed via an OTA update. Several other manufacturers are participating in the beta program, but this new version should not arrive on all smartphones at the same time.
