Apple could include Dynamic Island on all iPhone 15 models
The iPhone 15 should all benefit from Dynamic Island, the novelty reserved for Pro models on the iPhone 14. Thus, the notch would disappear definitively. Apple is expected to unveil its new phones next September.
Dynamic Island was the big novelty of the iPhone 14 range. However, this innovation was not reserved for all models, but only for Pro. For the iPhone 15 line, all terminals should benefit from it, at least that’s the opinion of Mark Gurman, Mr. Apple from Bloomberg.
In his newsletter, the Cupertino brand specialist assesses the major trends of 2023. For him, the notch would totally disappear from the iPhone 15, even non-Pro models. He also claims that we will also be entitled to the same screen size as last year: 6.1 inches for the classic model and 6.7 inches for the Plus model.
Apple could bet on Dynamic Island in 2023
As a reminder, iPhones have had a notch since the X model in 2017. In 2022 with the iPhone 14, Apple has decided to remove it from the Pro models in favor of a dynamic punch, the Dynamic Island. The principle is to make full use of this wasted screen space by transforming it into an animated capsule to display information, such as the weather forecast or the score of a match in progress. The software makes smart use of hardware constraints, in short.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max test: too much extra cost for too wise improvements
Gurman doesn’t just mention the Dynamic Island in his newsletter. He estimates that 2023 would be the year when Apple would finally present its virtual reality headset. A major project that would push the Californian brand to ease off on other products. We can therefore expect to see no new iPads or new MacBooks this year. The turning point of virtual reality has been expected for years at Apple. However, we know that it is a difficult market. If technology makes it possible to give life to functional products, users still find it difficult to see any interest in it. A high-risk market, therefore, on which Meta is already breaking its teeth.
This is not official information, of course, but predictions from an Apple specialist. We will have to wait the next few months to see what the firm really has in store for us.
