Apple now sells refurbished iPhone 12s on its store
Apple now sells refurbished iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro on its online store. The Californian brand markets these used smartphones, completely refurbished by its teams, on the British market and on the American market. The offer should soon arrive in France.
For several years, Apple has offered a series of refurbished products on its online Apple Store. In France, the Californian giant first started selling refurbished iPads and Macs before also offering iPhones. On the French market, the iPhone X was the first second-hand iPhone put up for sale by Apple.
More than a year after their release, Apple now offers refurbished iPhone 12s on its Apple Store. For the moment, these second-hand terminals are only marketed on the brand’s store in the United Kingdom or the United States. At the same time, it is of course always possible to order a completely new model.
Apple offers refurbished iPhone 12s at a knockdown price
In the UK, Apple only sells iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The shop allows you to choose between different colors and internal storage capacities. Across the Atlantic, the firm is selling iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. Again, several options are available.
Buying a refurbished edition rather than a new one can save you a lot of money. As can be seen on the two stores, the purchase of a refurbished iPhone reduces the final bill by 90 to 190 dollars (from 80 to 170 euros).
On its website, Apple specifies that all refurbished smartphones come with a new box, a Lightning to USB-C charging cable and user manuals. Unsurprisingly, there are no mains charger nor EarPods wired headphones. Apple stopped offering these accessories in 2020.
All reconditioned models featurea new battery and a new case. Apple exclusively uses “genuine Apple replacement parts” and offer “one year limited warranty” on all refurbished products sold on its store.
Finally, Apple assures that “every Apple Certified Refurbished product undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process and testing that meets the same functional requirements as new Apple products”.
