Apple has finally officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 7 alongside the iPhone 13. Apple Watch Series 7 benefits from a larger screen and better durability
Contrary to what the latest rumors suggested, theApple Watch Series 7 does not adopt a different look compared to previous models. The display surface is larger, the screen now extending to the edges of the bezel. Clear, the borders are thinner on this model than on the Watch Series 6. The accessory is also advertised as being 40% thinner than the previous generation. While these changes are not very visible to the less seasoned, as the photos in this article show, those who own a Watch Series 6 will undoubtedly appreciate the comfort provided by this larger display. But that’s it in terms of design.
However, this is not the only change made by Apple to its connected watch. The accessory thus benefits from better brightness (Apple announces a 70% brighter screen) and especially a increased resistance. Thanks to its IP 6X certification, the Apple Watch Series 7 is able to resist dust and water.
Like the Series 6, the new Watch Series 7 promises up to 18 hours of battery life. The accessory includes a USB-C charger, but the main novelty is its fast charging: Apple promises 33% charging speed faster than the previous generation.
Regarding the purely software part, the Apple Watch Series 7 runs on Watch OS 8 and benefits for the occasion of some new features. Cyclists will likely appreciate the watch’s ability to pause as soon as they stop at a traffic light. Another novelty: during training, falls are now taken into account. The accessory will be available from autumn 2021. It has 5 new aluminum colors.
