Apple will learn from the failure of the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 could be sold cheaper
Sales of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are very unsatisfactory. They partly explain the catastrophic financial results of Apple. A South Korean informant reveals the two-pronged strategy that the Apple brand could adopt to correct the situation before the launch of the iPhone 15.
Apple could highlight the difference between the non-Pro and Pro ranges of his smartphones. This is, of course, already the case today: the iPhone 14 Pro have their own features and components. They have a bit of a monopoly on novelties, while the most affordable iPhone 14s are seen by some as barely improved iPhone 13s.
Apple will, once again, change its business strategy. Next year, the company could split its iPhone offer a little more. It currently offers two affordable models, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, and two premium models, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The rumor announces the release of an iPhone 15 Ultra even more luxurious and powerful than its congeners. No one knows yet if this model will fit into the Pro range or if it will replace it.
Apple will lower the price of the “basic” iPhone 15 and offer an even more expensive premium model
In addition to creating a new device, Apple intends to make its most affordable devices much more attractive. The commercial failure of the iPhone 14 is often attributed to their mediocre value for money. They are barely cheaper than the high-end models, but they are much less efficient. The “basic” iPhone 15s should therefore benefit from the innovations that make the iPhone 14 Pro attractive, the Dynamic Island or the 48 MP main camera, for example.
It is rumored that the price of the iPhone 15 (non-Pro) will be lowered. According to sources working within Apple’s supply chain, the Cupertino company could offer an even more expensive iPhone (the Ultra model), and lower the price of consumer models. In this way, the company will offer more devices with distinct performance and finishes and can reach all types of customers.
