Beta of Peridot, the new AR game from Niantic

The Peridot beta is slowly starting to open in some regions after a first limited launch last April, which announces the approach of the release. Let’s go back together on what it is augmented reality gamedeveloped by Niantic, and how to participate in the test phases.

The successor to Pokémon GO?

Before discovering how to access the Peridot beta, let’s discover this new AR game from Niantic, the studio behind Pokémon GO and more recently Pikmin Bloom. Based on geolocation, Peridot presents itself as a Next Generation Tamagotchi.

Adopt your Dotmeet its needs for affection and food, take him for a ride like a real pet and collect treasures along the way.

These virtual little creatures look like psychedelic Pokémon that will have to be collected. If they are happy, the Peridots will reproduce, which will save their species from extinction.

Access the beta of Peridot

Already available for several months in Norway, Malaysia and Singapore, the beta of Peridot on Android and iOS is now available in Denmark. However, rumors speak of a game release spring 2023, which would mean that the test phases are likely to accelerate. It is therefore hoped that this deployment of the test phases will quickly extend to Western Europe.

You can always pre-register on the official website for Android devices and iOS users. All you have to do is fill in your email address, date of birth and country of residence. So you will be notified by email when the game will be available in your region, for a beta of Peridot or during the official release.
