At its conference today, Huawei presented the MatePad 11 and the new MatePad Pro. These two tablets are each entitled to their share of novelty, in the foreground HarmonyOS which is arriving for the first time among the general public. The Pro model is also the first to have three photo sensors.
Huawei announced it a few days ago, HarmonyOS 2.0 is unveiled today in the eyes of the whole world. Manufacturer’s response to the US embargo which prevents him from using Google services, the operating system has been a lot of talk lately. Users are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first device that will embed the OS, and Huawei has finally presented it. It will be about the MatePad 11, accompanied by its Pro version.
As one would expect, the operating system brings its share of novelties on the range of tablets. The most visible is undoubtedly the reorganization of the home screen, much more refined than on the old models. This new design, the MatePad 11 owes it to the task bar which is fixed at the bottom of the screen and which includes the applications most used by its owner. It also has a preview feature which displays the content of the application when the finger comes to rest on it.

Another very practical feature: HarmonyOS is perfectly complemented with Windows devices. Thanks to its screen sharing system, it is both possible to broadcast the tablet image to a second machine, or on the contrary of turn it into a second screen to view more information simultaneously. Finally, on desktop publishing software, the MatePad can transform into a graphics tablet with the M-Pencil stylus sold separately.
The Pro model is powered by the Kirin 9000e and a 10050mAh battery. He takes advantage of a large 12.6 ”OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The tablet itself has a screen-to-bezel ratio of 90%. While the previous model was the first to feature a hole in the screen, the new version is the first to offer three rear sensors. She thus has a main sensor 13 MP, a secondary sensor 8 MP and a wide-angle of 120 °. It is also the first to benefit from 8 internal speakers which faithfully reproduce the different frequencies of sound.
The MatePad 11 has on its side a LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It will be available on June 10 from € 399 for the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage version, and € 499 for the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage version with M-Pencil stylus. The MatePad Pro costs € 799.
