Discovery of the trailer for Project D, an original multiplayer RPG
This winter, the Cooperative RPG Project D is revealed in a trailer with images of its ongoing development in South Korea. This first trailer for Project D comes out more than a year after the Dragon Sword title was originally announced by Hound13 which dates back to July 2021. But it was worth the wait because Project D’s footage is gorgeous and promises a quality mobile game.
Project D trailer reveals a spellbinding magical world
The big RPGs on mobile are already numerous: Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy, Dragon Raja, and many others. But the Project D trailer brings fun and interesting novelties. One can for example see in the images a character who straddles a climbing dragon mount and even a flying squirrel.
the semi-open world of Dragon Sword (name at the end of the trailer) is colorful and makes the player dream, a bit like Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds before the announcement of its play-to-earn system.
This major production makes us impatient to discover Project D after the official trailer. The progress of the project is also supported by Garena’s investment in the Hound13 studio, which promises in-depth development on Unreal Engine 5. We can fully enjoy the game without farming in automatic mode. Indeed, the developers planned to focus on the manual mode to give more depth to the action and the story.
Hound13’s RPG Dragon Sword Released
The universe presented by the Project D trailer, aka Dragon Sword before its release, and its graphic style might remind you of something. The Hound13 studio is also known for its work on the MMORPG Dragon Nest which you may have already played since its release in 2014. At the time, the developers were working under the name of Eyedentity.
A bad takeover by Shanda pushed the studio members to create their own business, and here Hound13 was born. The Project D release date has not yet been announced, but the production of the title looks well advanced, as we can see in the trailer.
