Facebook threatens to ban users of modified apps

Are you using “GB WhatsApp”, the modified version of WhatsApp? Warning: Facebook is currently warning users of the messaging app that they risk banning if they use a modified version with features like automatic replies.

If you are using WhatsApp on an Android smartphone, you may know that there are modified versions of the app, and that they are very popular. The most popular of these is undoubtedly GB WhatsApp.

These alternatives to the official app add many ultra-practical features such as automatic responses, sending unlimited photos, themes, downloading statuses (even deleted), filters to better sort your messages and much more.

WhatsApp is hunting down modified app users

The problem is that Facebook doesn’t really see the development of these alternatives, which favorably ignore the limitations of the official application.. The company even explains in a short message that using the most interesting features of these modified applications can now earn you a definitive exclusion from the application.

“Do not attempt to send bulk messages, make automatic replies, or make automatic calls using WhatsApp. WhatsApp uses both machine learning technologies and user reporting to detect and ban accounts that send spam ”, explains the Facebook subsidiary.

And to add: “This includes systematically contacting users in ways they might not want. Likewise, do not automatically create accounts or groups and do not use modified versions of WhatsApp ”.

GB WhatsApp is not the only modified WhatsApp application – by the way not directly targeted by the missive which concerns all modified versions of WhatsApp and devices that allow mass mailing via WhatsApp.

Even using this type of solution as an accessory may now see you excluded from the network. It remains that we understand by reading the wording of the message that Facebook seeks above all to fight against the phenomenon – it is true very annoying – of spammers.

It therefore seems possible to continue using these applications as long as you only marginally use their additional functionalities.
