Galaxy Tab A7 Lite: Samsung’s affordable tablet unveiled before its time
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is unveiled before its time. Several months before the announcement, the future affordable tablet from Samsung appeared in a leak. We discover the complete design of the device and part of the sheet technical.
According to information obtained by Evan Blass, a famous leaker whose fame is no longer in doubt, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is built around8.4 inch screen. For the record, the standard Galaxy Tab A7 launched last year is covered with a touch screen of 10.4 inches. To lower the selling price, Samsung was forced to cut back on the display surface.
Unsurprisingly, the Seoul giant has also made savings on the chipset integrated into the tablet. Instead of the Snapdragon 662 SoC of the standard version, Samsung relies on a MediaTek Helio P22T chipset. This opta-core processor is present in many mid-range tablets, including many references from Lenovo. The SoC is supported by only 3 GB of RAM.

5100 mAh battery and no flash for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
Samsung entrusts the autonomy of the tablet to a 5100 mAh battery, compared to 7,040 mAh for the standard edition. This small-sized accumulator does not bode well for a high level of autonomy. Evan Blass does not say more on the technical sheet of the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. He just points out that the rear camera is not not equipped with an LED flash. The hardware of the camera promises to be particularly modest, warns the informant.
On the design side, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite does not revolutionize the genre. The screen is surrounded by wide and thick borders. Note that the tablet is visibly not equipped with a fingerprint reader, whether under the screen or on the back, like the standard Tab A7.
Samsung will present the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite during the month of June 2021. In the wake of the announcement, the South Korean manufacturer will also launch the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite, a more high-end tablet. This is a cheaper version of the Galaxy Tab S7 +, which we tested last year.
