Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: the ultimate Android tablet uses a massive 14.6-inch screen
Unlike in previous years, Samsung is expected to unveil three new Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets early next year. The most expensive, called Ultra, promises to be the ultimate Android tablet.
The day after the announcement of the Xiaomi Pad 5 in Europe, it was the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s turn to be talked about. The Ice Universe leaker has shared new information about the tablet, and we now know that it could be one of the largest ever marketed.
Indeed, Ice Universe corroborates information from previous leaks by stating that the screen of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will measure well 14.6 inches, against 12.4 inches for the Galaxy Tab S7 + last year. As on previous generations, we will be dealing with an OLED screen, which could maybe use the LTPO technology of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. This would allow in particular to dynamically vary the refresh rate of the tablet between 10 Hz and 120 Hz depending on the content displayed.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra should be very autonomous
Who says large screen usually says large capacity battery. According to Ice Universe, the tablet will be equipped with a massive 11,500 mAh battery, which is 1,410 mAh more than the battery of the Galaxy Tab S7 +. It should allow the giant tablet to enjoy more than a day of autonomy.
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra could use a Snapdragon 898 processor, unlike the Galaxy S22 which will use an Exynos 2200. We also know that like previous generations, the tablet should use at least four stereo speakers, but could increase the number to eight as on the Chinese Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro.
Finally, the tablet will be without surprise compatible with the company’s S Pen styluses, and will likely use dual cameras on the back. Ice Universe believes the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be equipped with dual front cameras, a wide-angle sensor and an ultra-wide-angle sensor. These would be housed in a small notch, but it will probably take many more months to learn more about it. As a reminder, Samsung should not unveil its new tablets by the end of the year, these would arrive at the beginning of the year 2022.
