Genshin Impact Update 2.5: When the Sakura Blooms

Available from Wednesday February 16, 2022, the Genshin Impact version 2.5 “When the sakura blossoms” brings its share of content: the long-awaited arrival of Yae Mikothe rerun of the Shogun Raiden and of Kokomi, as well as story quests and even a surprising new world boss! A large event will also introduce you to Enkanomiya from a different angle. However, the live of MiHoYo was mainly interested in the first part of the 2.5 update, still keeping some secret information…

Genshin Impact 2.5 Update Banner Characters

Genshin Impact patch 2.5 adds a long-awaited new character: Yae Mikoa 5 Star Electro Heroine. The priestess fights her enemies with a catalyst. His gameplay relies mostly on his lightning totems. They do damage over time and you can detonate them to deal maximum damage with his elemental skill.

You will have a small chance to summon Yae Miko in the banner ” Purple Infinity » from Wednesday February 16 until March 8 at 5 p.m. She will be accompanied by 3 4-star heroes: Diona, Thomas and Fishl. The Electro archer should also work very well with Yae, especially for her energy contribution.

The weapon banner divine embodiment » proposes to unlock Yae Miko’s signature weapon « Kagura’s Truth ” as well as the ” Primal Jade Cutter », a one-handed sword (5★).

In the second part of the update (from March 8 until the end of version 2.5), you will have to choose (or not) between two 5-star characters: Shogun Raiden Where Kokomi. Raiden, the Archon Electro, is one of the best characters in the game; it boosts your team’s elemental outbursts, provides energy, and deals a lot of damage. It is found in many meta teams in the Abyss! But Kokomi, although less popular, is no exception. Hydro Heroine allows you to apply the Hydro element in addition to healing your heroes. MiHoYo has yet to reveal which characters will accompany them.

You can learn more about Raiden through a new story quest: Imperatrix Umbrosa – Act 2: Fleeting Dreams “. Yae Miko will also be entitled to her own story with “ Act 1: Narukami’s Great Offering “.

A new World Boss in Genshin Impact

Update 2.5 challenges you again with a new world boss. This one looks strangely like the Shogun Raiden… But to find out what it really is, you’ll have to face it!

You will also have to fight new enemies: Dark Shell: Standard Bearer, Dark Shell: Formation Breaker and Dark Shell: Defender. These enigmatic warriors promise to be tough: they sacrifice part of their HP to create shields when they hit a hero under the protection of a shield.

As usual, several events will animate this new patch 2.5.

2.5 Major Event: Three Kingdoms Access Offering

Three Kingdoms Entrance Offering promises to be a big event that will span the duration of patch 2.5 from February 17 at 10am. The event is centered on exploration: you return to Enkanomiya, then covered by darkness. You will have to deal with Corrosion, search for chests and face powerful enemies. In addition to getting a good number of primogems, Moras, XP scrolls and crafting materials, you will be rewarded with a free 4-star catalyst: Eye of Oath. This weapon increases ATK with its secondary stat and energy recharge with its passive.

To be able to participate, you must have completed the Archons quest Chapter II – Act 2 and the world quest “The Secret of Erebos”.

Dungeon Creation Event: Divine Ingenuity

From March 2 from 10 a.m. until March 21, you will have the possibility of creating your own domain, a bit like Mario Maker. You can then share it with your friends story that they try it and of course venture into those of other players.

A new area announced in Genshin Impact update 2.6: the Chasm

MiHoYo also took the opportunity to teaser a brand new area that will appear in Genshin Impact update 2.6 : the Gulf. This region is located west of Liyue and its name has been teasing us for a while since it was already visible on the map!

According to the artwork, the area would be mostly underground and populated by new monsters such as Ruin Serpents. It should also link up with sumeruwhich we look forward to!
