Google I/O: Android starts teasing new features
The Google I/O, Google’s conference dedicated to developers, will be an opportunity for the brand to present its new products. The official Android Twitter account has started teasing a few things, leaving us to guess what to expect from tomorrow.
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 11, Google will start its traditional Google I/O, a conference dedicated to developers. Android 13 will most certainly be in the spotlight and we can expect lots of new features. The official Android Twitter account even started teasing.
It was in a poll published on Elon Musk’s network that the Android account placed its pawns. He just asks us what we’re waiting for of the Google I/O among four proposals. Each is interesting in its own way.
Android could bet on its four big innovations
Google tease like this security updates. It’s not really surprising, given that it has been the brand’s workhorse for a long time. Android 12, for example, relies heavily on this.
Another proposal is interesting in the survey: news about messaging. We can expect major innovations in this segment, knowing that Google wants to push the RCS format enormously, the successor to SMS, in the near future. The multiplication of “cross-device” uses between the different terminals is also suggested, as is the announcement of new partnerships.

Even more, we can expect visual novelties. The official Material Design account conducted a poll on its side, leaving us salivating for the sequel. Again, Google should announce a lot of things to improve the user experience. If Android 13 should be closer to Android 12 on this point, we are still entitled to expect some small changes.
Android 13: the first public beta is available, how to install it?
The Google I/O will therefore start from tomorrow, Wednesday, May 11. As usual, all the new features should be unveiled during the opening conference which will take place at 7 p.m. French time. Announcements should be for software only. No new product should be presented during the event. Either way, we can’t wait to see what Android has in store for us in the future.
