On May 18, Google and Samsung created the event by announcing the merger of their two operating systems for connected watches in one, called Wear OS. The only other information Google is leaking is about upcoming Fossil watches “Later in the year”. These will not ship Wear OS 3 natively like the Galaxy Watch 4, but will be “Compatible with the update”. This is all the meager details that the firm kindly provided us on the subject. For the rest of the watches concerned, the update will be done on a case-by-case basis. According to Google, the process will start around mid-2022, or in a year.
