How to customize iOS 15 icons with an app
The App Store is full of apps that offer icon packs to their users. Themes, Next Icon, iCons, there’s no shortage of choices for anyone hungry for customization. These generally offer sets of several dozen icons grouping together the most popular applications, such as social networks or streaming platforms. Here’s how to use them:
- Open theApp Store
- Download icon packs app of your choice
- Open the app and download a pack
- Then go to Settings> Downloaded profile
- Select the profile you just downloaded and click on To install
- Type your pin code
- Start the profile installation
You are then left with a whole new home screen, showing the icons you selected. This method is formidable, because it can change the interface of your entire iPhone, in addition to offering a wide choice of different designs. How to customize iOS 15 icons with shortcuts
If the thought of downloading a third-party app turns you off, good news: It doesn’t have to be that way at all to achieve your goals. Indeed, iOS already includes an application dedicated to this purpose – and many others – called Shortcuts. The power of this little utility is quite impressive, but today we will just talk about the subject that interests us. Thanks to the latter, you can indeed select the image of your choice to replace the icon of your applications. Here’s the procedure to follow :
- Open Shortcuts
- Click on the + sign
- Select Add action
- In the section Scripts, click on Open the app
- Clicking on app, select the application whose icon you want to change
- Click on the blue icon at the top right of your screen, then on On the home screen
- Choose the image that will replace your application icon
- Press on To end
All you have to do is repeat this operation for each of the desired applications. If the process may seem tedious, it has the merit of letting you fully control the icons that will appear on your screen. While evil tongues keep repeating that Apple imposes its design choices through its devices, this is a nice snub.
