iPad Pro: Apple faces a shortage of Mini-LED screens
Apple is having production issues with the iPad Pro Mini-LED display. According to information obtained by Bloomberg, the Cupertino giant should still launch its new high-end tablet during the month of April 2021. However, launch stocks are expected to be more limited than expected.
According to the leaks that have appeared on the web in recent months, Apple is preparing to launch a new generation of iPad Pro. This new tablet differs from its predecessors by the integration of a Mini-LED screen. Mini-LED technology is a backlighting technique made up of thousands of tiny LEDs placed under the LCD panel. This high-end iPad would also be compatible with 5G.
According to a new Bloomberg article, Apple is having significant difficulties in producing these 12.9-inch Mini-LED displays. Citing sources close to the industry, Apple’s foreign suppliers record disastrous production yields. One of the manufacturers of MiniLED panels even had to suspend production recently in order to implement improvements to its process.

Apple to launch iPad Pro before the end of April
De facto, the Californian firm faces a shortage of Mini-LED screens. As a reminder, Apple suppliers had already encountered difficulties in producing the panels for the iPad Pro 5G in 2020. Faced with the accumulated delay, the group preferred to postpone the launch of the tablets for several months. Under these conditions, Bloomberg expects this new generation of iPad Pro to be launched in very limited quantity. Despite the difficulties, Apple would announce tablets with Mini-LED screens by the end of April 2021. We can expect the brand to confirm the organization of a keynote in the coming weeks, unless Apple is satisfied with a press release.
