IPhone 13: a new leak confirms the launch date of smartphones
The launch of Apple’s iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12S) is fast approaching. A new leak confirms that the smartphones would be unveiled during a keynote held in Cupertino on September 14, 2021. This implies that pre-orders would start on September 17 and that the iPhone 13 would be available from September 24. However, it is not certain that all models are released at the same time.
If THE meeting of the month of August was undoubtedly the Unpacked of Samsung during which were unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, several important events are expected in September. Many manufacturers will indeed announce new features. We also expect it from Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo or Huawei. One of those not to be missed is the announcement of the Pixel 6, which could take place on September 13. But another conference is traditionally expected in September: that of Apple.
IPhone 13 prices: Apple would finally increase prices
Indeed, the Cupertino company has made a habit of announcing its new iPhone at the start of the school year. And more precisely around mid-September. There have been a few deviations from this rule over the years, especially in 2020. Due to a global epidemic and an early shortage on certain components, the iPhone 12 was announced in October. Two of them, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, were released immediately, while the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max had to wait until November.
Chinese leaker confirms date of Apple iPhone 13 keynote
This year, Apple seems to have taken all precautions so that such a delay does not repeat itself. All analysts and leakers are clear: the iPhone 13 (or iPhone 12S according to some of the leaks) will be released in September. When exactly? Not this week or next week, of course. But the following week, according to a generally knowledgeable Chinese leaker. He explains on Weibo that Apple’s keynote would take place on Wednesday September 15th, Chinese time.
This precision is important, because there is a very strong time difference between Cupertino and Beijing. Which means that the keynote would take place on the night of September 14 to 15 for Asian techies. And this corresponds well to the rumors dating from the month of June which affirmed that Apple would present the iPhone 13 on September 14 (which is a Tuesday, which corresponds well to the habits of the firm).
From this date, we can derive part of the commercial information: the iPhone 13 (all, if not at least half of them) will be in pre-order Friday September 17th. Then they will hit store shelves a week later, on September 24. We would therefore have less than a month to wait to finally find out what are all the new features prepared by Apple for this new generation of smartphones.
