iPhone 13: Apple has hidden several clues in the invitation for the keynote
The official presentation of the iPhone 13 is approaching and it is now time for speculation. In addition to the many leaks in which the smartphone has been the subject, Apple has a habit of disseminating several clues in its invitation to the keynote. This time is no exception and, with a little imagination, we can guess some surprises that await us. On the program: improvement of the photo and arrival of the new streaming standard.
Next week, September 14 to be precise, Apple will finally unveil the iPhone 13. For several months, the future smartphone has been at the center of much speculation, which will therefore now find an answer within a few days. Indeed, it is not the leaks that were lacking about it, especially the latest one which reveals multiple aspects of the phone just before the keynote. This does not prevent the Cupertino company from play the teasing card thoroughly.
Like every year, the manufacturer sent an invitation to journalists. If, at first glance, this one may seem relatively classic, it actually hides some little secrets. We have already discovered an augmented reality logo that displays the date of the event. But is this the only ester egg integrated by Apple? Probably not, because the latter likes to distribute some discreet clues to whom will be able to see them well. A brief overview of the possibilities.
Focus on the photo during the presentation of the iPhone 13
This year, Apple is changing the codes a bit. Exit the plain backgrounds accompanied by a simple text, this time the firm opts for a photo in the background. While this may seem trivial, it can also be seen as a sign that the keynote will mainly relate to the photo part of the iPhone 13. Especially since on the visual, the logo acts as a real sensor, displaying the landscape more clearly in its center than outside. So what to expect?
Clearly, light will be a central subject. The image, showing a sunset in these last moments, can evoke improved night mode. Additionally, we recently learned that iOS 15 will automatically remove lens flare effects from snapshots, which can be illustrated by the logo’s beautiful reflection in the water.
Finally, the choice of a night photo can also echo a photo sensor capable of capture the stars in high quality snapshotsé, as some of its competitors are already doing. The choice of Lake Tahoe, known in particular for being an ideal place to observe the starry sky, to illustrate its invitation would therefore not be a coincidence.
The new H.266 streaming standard arrives on the iPhone 13
Apple is also making more direct references to upcoming announcements. “California streaming” was content to say the manufacturer on his invitation, in addition to the date. Obvious reference to the classic of Mamas and Papas, this sentence also teases the arrival of the H.266 standard on the next smartphones. A real leap forward in the world of streaming, it will greatly accelerate the distribution of content while reducing bandwidth consumption.

A deduction again supported by the choice of the location of the photo, visibly far from any civilization, but which will not however be a brake on a Netflix evening. Indeed, the video compression applied by the H.266 standard should make it possible to watch videos in 4K without the need for a powerful connection. For the moment, all this is only of the order of the hypothesis. We will have to wait until September 14, at 7 p.m. (French time), to find out.
