The iPhone 15 Pro would finally have physical buttons, Apple

IPhone 13 Pro: the macro mode annoys the first users, Apple will rectify the situation
The iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max are equipped with a macro mode associated with the wide-angle lens. When the smartphone detects that it is close to an object, iOS automatically changes the active sensor to be ready to take a photo faster. But some users want to stay in control. In response to its early feedback, Apple promises that a setting will be available soon to prevent the iPhone from changing sensors.
Last week, Apple introduced four new iPhones: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. You can find in our columns a complete presentation of smartphones, as well as a face to face meeting between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 12. Without forgetting, of course, a summary of the announcements to be found in video on our YouTube channel (and at the end of this article).
IPhone 14 Pro: Apple would replace the notch with a hole in the screen, years after Android
Several new features of these iPhone concern photography. And in particular the arrival of a macro mode in the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. The latter is supported by the ultra-wide-angle lens and its associated 12-megapixel sensor. To make shooting easier, Apple has made the decision to integrate an algorithm that automatically changes lenses when you are very close to an object. For example, you are on the main lens, you approach and, presto, you switch to macro mode. Apple isn’t the only brand to do this. We also experimented with this with Oppo, notably.
iPhone 13 Pro: an update will prevent macro mode from changing lenses on its own
Obviously, if this makes it easier to make adjustments before shooting (and speeds up the time it takes to do so), it also seems to be frustrating. Indeed, some prefer that the machine not make decisions for them. And the first testers in the United States say they would rather have the choice. A remark that was heard by Apple who quickly spoke on the subject.
Several American influencers have received a message from Apple explaining thatan update will soon be pushed on the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. It will bring a new setting that will block macro mode: it will then be impossible for it to change photo lenses automatically. Users will therefore have to change lenses manually. Expert photographers will be delighted. And the others will not change the default setting.
