iPhone 13: the touch screen no longer responds to some users under iOS 15
A few days after the official launch of the iOS 15 update, some users had the unpleasant surprise to find that their iPhone’s touch screen could no longer respond, and that this bug happened randomly.
iOS 15 seems to suffer from a number of bugs since its release. We know, for example, that Spotify drains the iPhone battery and that there is nothing to do to prevent it, and even that a flaw allows access to the notes of an iPhone without unlocking it.
Since the release of iOS 15, some users have complained about a bug with their iPhone’s touchscreen. Indeed, it happens that this one simply does not answer any more, which forces users to restart their device to resolve the issue.
Some iPhones get stuck on iOS 15, the touch screen no longer responds!
Whether on Reddit or Twitter, many users have complained in recent days of issues with their touchscreen responsiveness, which have arisen as a result of the iOS 15 update. Some are reporting problems with the “tap to wake” function, where iPhone is unresponsive after tapping on the screen to wake up, and other cases where system and app touch inputs are unresponsive.
To solve the problem, some of the users come to unlock the system by tapping the screen many times, but some have no other choice than to restart by force their smartphone. The new iPhone 13 would not be the only models affected, since all iPhones that can install iOS 15 would be impacted. It would therefore probably be a software bug, and not a hardware bug.
The good news is that since this would be a software bug, it will be possible for Apple to fix it in a future update. However, users still seem to be experiencing the same issue in the beta of the upcoming iOS 15.1 release, so Apple might take a little while to fix it. While waiting for the bug to be resolved, you can go and discover all the features of iOS 15 that will be deployed in the coming weeks.
