iPhone 14 Pro: the double hole in the screen should look like this
The iPhone 14 Pro are talking about them again, months before the Apple keynote. Inspired by the latest leaks, a designer has developed 3D renderings of the design of Apple’s future smartphones. We discover a double hole in the touch screen.
With the iPhone 14, Apple will thoroughly review the design of its smartphones. On the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, the two high-end editions, the Cupertino giant will draw a line under the famous notch. For the first time, Apple is housing the TrueDepth sensors necessary for Face ID facial recognition to work in a hole in the screen.
According to the latest information appeared on the web, Apple would not be satisfied with a small cavity in the screen. On top of the iPhone 14 Pro slab, we would find an elongated punch, pill-shaped. This punch, similar to that of some Android phones, would embed Face ID sensors.

In addition to this already imposing cavity, one would find also a tiny hole on the same line. This hole would contain the photo sensor for selfies. Contrary to the first rumors that appeared concerning the design of the iPhone 14 Pro, Apple would not have managed to fit all the sensors (Face ID and webcam) into a single cavity. De facto, smartphones would end up with a double holea first on the market.
Based on these leaks, designer Volodymyr Lenard has developed 3D renders showing the alleged design of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The talented graphic designer posted the images on his Instagram account a few days ago. The designer sought to imagine what future iPhones might look like when featured on Apple’s website.
As expected, we see a double hole consisting of an elongated punch like a pill and a small, more discreet cavity. Moreover, the design is not surprising. We find the same flat slices than on the iPhone 13. Similarly, a prominent photo block which emerges from the structure is visible on the back side. For the record, Apple should present the iPhone 14 Pro next September.
