Mobile Games News Recap | Week of February 21 to 27, 2022
Discover it weekly recap of mobile gaming news on Android and iOS for the week of February 21 to 27, 2022! We let you read all about it below. ⬇️
1️⃣ Let’s start this recap with the outings that have marked this week. First of all, EDENS ZERO Pocket Galaxy came out on Thursday. The mobile game is based on the eponymous universe imagined by Hiro Mashima, notably Fairy Tail mangaka. Developped by Konamithis RPG didn’t have a great first few days: reviews complaining about crashes, lackluster gameplay, and long loading times due to scene downloads (and I understand after testing My Hero Ultra Impact this week). To see if the game will manage to bring together a community other than the fans of the original license.
Other outputs include a merge game by Com2Usnamed Valkyrie Rush. Available for pre-registration for several months, the game appears to be a deja vu merge game skin with an auto-ubiquitous mode and an obvious lack of depth. Many players have expressed their disappointment with a Com2Us game, but this does not surprise us given the turn taken by the company with its commercial productions far from the Summoners War universe not necessarily all successful. Finally, the output of The Secret of Cat Island will delight lovers of soothing, cute and colorful games. To discover as soon as possible for players accustomed to titles with an atmosphere close to Animal Crossing.
2️⃣ The long-awaited MMORPG at the crossroads of steampunk and some fantasy, Noah’s Heart, has announced its release before the end of 2022 in Japan. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about a potential worldwide release date for Noah’s Heart.
3️⃣ In two and a half years of existence, Call of Duty mobile has just reached $1.5 billion earnings via its microtransactions. Obliged thanks to the players by TiMi Studios which saw an increase in mobile CoD earnings of 45% between 2020 and 2021, until reaching the 14th position of mobile games generating the most money through iOS and Android in-game purchases. We are still waiting for information on the release of CoD Warzone mobile in 2022, but we will keep you posted as the months go by.
4️⃣ To change register, several mobile games have opened their pre-registrations this week. Darth Nemesisthe Nuverse MMORPG is part of. It incorporates PvE, boss fights and PvP with a Battle Royale mode as well as various character customization options, in a world where Good and Evil constantly clash. Nothing very original, but maybe the game will be able to bring some novelties to the genre, we will find out soon enough for its released on March 25, 2022.
What’s more, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be released this summer, and has also opened its pre-registration for the upcoming closed beta. Finally, the roguelike Gunfire Reborn is available for pre-order and pre-registration at RPG and dungeon crawler Soul Tide are making their debut. As a reminder, Soul Tide won the prize for best anime game of the year at the Vivo Annual Game Festival. Find below the different trailers of the games mentioned.
5️⃣ On the soft launch side, the latest title signed Kabam Games (to whom we owe Marvel Contest of Champions, Shop Titans or even Transformers Forged to Fight), Shadows of Valdora, becomes available for gamers in Canada and the Philippines on Android, via the Playstore. If you are interested in the game, you can also join Shadow of Valdora’s waiting list on its official website. Apex mobile is also playing the soft launch card, launching next month in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. When released in these countries, the game will have 9 playable legends : Bangalore, Bloodhound, causticGibraltar, LifelineMirage, Octane, Pathfinder and Wraith.
6️⃣ If Hyper Front is not afraid to position itself as a Valorant-like, or even a clone of Riot Games’ hit game, T3 Arena would obviously be Mobile Overwatch that some are still waiting for. Like the PC version of Blizzard’s title, this title offers multiple game modes, colorful VFX and somewhat cartoonish but charismatic characters. Discover T3 Arena and its 3v3 clashes starting in March by pre-registering on TapTap.
7️⃣ To celebrate the end of the first year of Infinity Kingdom, players had access to birthday rewards, a special event with limited edition kingdom decorations and even a souvenir offered by Yoozoo Games by logging in with your ID on the official event page.
8️⃣ Usually available at 99 cents, Hitman Sniper goes free on Android and iOS. Frequently cited in the list of the best mobile sniping games, the title has carved out a place for itself as a classic. So, now that it’s free, why not give it a try?
9️⃣ After the leaks on the arrival of the Dendro element before the end of the year, it’s the turn of a new Genshin Impact element to be revealed. According to the latest leaks, players would have the opportunity to play Light type characters which would be added to the existing types. Discover the details of this leak in our dedicated article.
🔟 After its last test phase, Diablo Immortal was able to make some improvements. Among them, social functions are appearing as well as modifications to the 8-player Raid mode and support for controller gameplay extended by more compatibilities. We haven’t had the opportunity to play it yet at JeuMobi, but, like all our favorite titles, it is long overdue.
1️⃣1️⃣ Finally, to conclude this recap of the news of the week on beautiful images, I let you discover the Little Orpheus trailera mobile and PC game developed by The Chinese Room, the creators ofAmnesia or Dear Esther.
