Genshin News of the Week
1️⃣ Never a week goes by without Genshin or miHoYo, now Hoyoverse, does not give any news. But I think the news this week might surprise you. In addition to our news about the Genshin Impact Chasm release coming later this month on the occasion of the update 2.6and the Buddy Dungeon Creation Quest Divine Ingenuity from the Update 2.5, we are going to talk to you about innovation and community creations. You may know miHoYo’s slogan “tech otakus save the world” which so far seemed a bit comical or ironic. Well… it seems that the studio has decided to take the sentence at face value since this week we discover a significant investment in a Chinese research start-up, Energy Singularitywhich aims to explore and commercialization of nuclear fusion technologies for the global energy interest. In parallel with metaverse, the Chinese firm has therefore decided to advance its pawns in various sectors of progress rather than simply in Genshin. Maybe tech otakus are really going to help change the world?
2️⃣ On the other hand, the game’s fan community continues to grow and get more and more creative. Among Genshin’s most recent fan art are game character skins in Animal Crossing fully personalized.
But the most impressive in my opinion is this sand sculpture of adorable Paimon made by a player in Brazil.
New Mobile Games NCsoft Corporation
3️⃣ We’re a little late on this one, because we didn’t have the opportunity to put it in the previous recaps, but we present to you the trailer of the next NCSoft games today. As a reminder, NCsoft has big licenses like Lineage and Blade & Soul. In this trailer entitled “Work in Progress: Play the Possibilities”, we discover images of:
- Project Ea Medieval Asian MMORPG based on an atmosphere close to feudal Korea, probably from the same universe as Thrones and Liberty.
- Project R, a title announced as a Battle Royale but which, seen from above, looks more like an arena game like Brawl Stars or Catalyst Black. Maybe Project R will be a mix of both as attempted Battlerite ?
- Project Ma korean drama while interactive adventure with cinematics in motion capture and resolutely realistic graphics.
- And Blade & Soul S, a “Collectible RPG”, gacha for friends, based on the famous license from NCsoft Corporation. However, the game is currently listed as a mainly single-player gameso we will have to wait to find out how these hero and character collection mechanics affect the gameplay, balancing and economy of the title.
If we are not sure that all will arrive on mobile, some like Project R Where Blade & Soul S are obviously already designed for this format. Moreover, we know the propensity of NC to turn to smartphones to develop its licenses, so these titles will surely be no exception to the rule. Mobile game releases of the week
4️⃣ You haven’t found your happiness on the side challenge, rhythm and neon lights since the time of Geometry Dash ? Well you’ll be delighted to hear the release of The Impossible Game 2 from FlukeGames. This title will test your reflexes and your ability to adapt from one challenge and one environment to another against a backdrop of frenzied music, to discover now on the Playstore and the Appstore. Among the handheld games, Castle War: Idle Island this week on the blinds will perhaps reconcile you with the idle genre. If not, maybe TCG Card Tycoon Simulator, which lets you run your trading card shop can put some balm in your heart despite its somewhat dated graphics (look at the difference in quality between the characters and the BOOSTERS!).
5️⃣ Much darker, the output ofHitman Sniper: The Shadows will appeal more to apprentice snipers on Android and iOS smartphones. Agent 47 has gone missing and it’s time for your elite team to take over and take down targets all over the world. Don’t forget that discretion takes precedence, so make maximum use of the decor and the interactions with the environment around your targets for a clean, unsuspecting kill….
6️⃣ As for known game ports, Rogue Company mobile will soon be offering a new phase of technical testing on iOS. Here is the link to pre-register for the portable version of the game of Hi-Rez. Some players of the competitive PvP title are complaining that the developers better fix bugs in the PC and console game before releasing this mobile standalone. But, on our side, we are simply waiting to see how the Rogue Company format in 4v4 or 2v2 in the third person will make a place for itself on the market of multiplayer mobile games, against Battlefield mobile, T3-Arena, HyperFront, Catalyst Black or even a potential Mobile Valorant.
New Generation Pokémon and Update Pikmin Bloom, the recap Niantic and Pokémon
7️⃣ At Niantic, we present a big update for Pikmin Bloom which now allows you invite friends with a code to boost your rewards (including seedling locations and nectar. A daily photo is also provided once you reach 10,000 steps during the day. For those who have never played it, I would describe Pikmin Bloom more as a walking companion than an actual game.
However, if you like walking and Pikmin Bloom is a little light for you in terms of gameplay, I advise you to combine that with The Beautiful Walk, a narrative experience written by FiberTiger with adventures around the world depending on the distance you travel. This will make you discover new countries and cultures but with choices and karma to spice up the story, enough to never get bored again during your walks.
8️⃣ On the Pokémon side, we discover the starters of the ninth generation Scarlet and Violet : Pushed plant type, Chochodile fire type and Hairdresser water type. The games of this generation will land on Switch at the end of 2022. This news may affect mobile games with the arrival of Pokémon from this new region in Pokemon Unite, who knows ? In the meantime, it is Duralugon to appear in the Unite Arena!
Big license updates and events (IPs)
9️⃣ Garena Free Fire is igniting this week with two great collaborations. First of all, the K-POP group BTS takes the microphone and officially becomes a Free Fire ambassador. An event related to this integration of BTS into the game universe will follow this month. Then it’s the turn from Assassins Creed x Garena Free Fire to join the game. This collaboration will allow players to experience new music titled “The Creed of Fire” (available here on Spotify), a building called the crypt on the Bermuda map to open with a key and from which you can perform a leap of faith and an assassin’s outfit to top it all off.
Garena Free Fire competitor PUBG mobile meanwhile continues its collaboration with Arcane and continues to develop content while Arena of Valor joins forces with Bleach for a new AoV x Bleach collaboration.

Russia and Ukraine: a mix of cancellations, delays and financial support
