New light element in Genshin Impact: Rumors

The Genshin Impact updates follow one another and each time offer new and generous content. We look forward to exploring sumeru to discover the magic Dendro, the seventh element of the RPG. In addition to that, MiHoYo may have other surprises in store for us… Following the event “ Three Kingdoms Access Offerings ” of the update 2.5, a new rumor swells. And if in addition to the seven elements already known, others would arrive in a more or less distant future? We tell you everything about the rumor of a new light element in Genshin Impact.

The light element in Genshin Impact

Currently, there are seven elements in Genshin Impact: Anemo, Geo, Electro, Hydro, Cryo, Pyro, and Dendro. The latter is not yet available, but should arrive by the end of the year with the sumeru update. While MiHoYo has made no announcement about an additional element in the RPG, fans strongly suspect that new elements : light and darkness. This theme of Light and Darkness elements could bring great novelties in terms of combinatorial effects.

This rumor stems directly from Genshin Impact Update 2.5 and more specifically from the “Three Kingdoms Access Offerings” event. In it you can collect Kingdom of Light Seals. This mark is used to improve the Bokuso Box to access different rewards. These objects are reminiscent of the Anemo, Geo and Electro seals already available in the game. Each element is associated with seals.

These are just guesses, nothing in Genshin Impact actually hints at the possibility of such an item. This could nevertheless renew the gameplay, especially since light often rhymes with darkness. It’s a classic RPG! We could thus expect new synergies.

In addition during the update 1.3, we had been able to meet Dainsleif, a mysterious character with a rather dark look… We know almost nothing about him and even less about his element, but he could resurface soon. This may be an opportunity to learn more! Likewise, we do not know where the traveler comes from…

The imminent arrival of the Dendro element in Genshin Impact

If the appearance of a possible light element is to be taken with a grain of salt, we know that the Dendro element is coming, meanwhile, with great strides. This one is not totally unknown to us: we can already fight Dendro monsters (Dendrobobs and Brutoshamans Dendro). A Dendro character is also present in the game in the person of Baizhu, the owner of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue. This one carries a serpent on his shoulders.

It is unknown what the elemental reactions with Dendro magic could be, but one thing is for sure, this element will bring new synergies.

The Sumeru update should theoretically arrive before the end of the year and be at least as substantial as the Inazuma update released last year. Moreover MiHoYo has already confirmed that we could access the chasm from update 2.6. This area would probably make the connection between Liyue and Sumeru and we will have the opportunity to discover it much more than the light or darkness elements of Genshin.
