Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds released on iOS and Android
Immerse yourself in a colorful medieval fantasy world with the Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds release, the new game from Netmarble and Level5. Prepare to be amazed in this ambitious mobile MMORPG. We give you our first impressions in this article.
First impressions of the release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds
When Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is released, the adventure begins as your character is thrust into a world completely unknown to him. You find yourself in the middle of a forest populated by strange animals who ask you for help to save the queen of the kingdom. To help you in your mission, you are accompanied by cluea flying pig with a 4-leaf clover on its head.
Once arrived at the first city, Hopeyou discover a world populated by humans, but also anthropomorphic animals and of course, familiars.
One of the main qualities of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds upon its release is the care taken in its scenario. You will gradually discover the story through many dialogues, but also and especially through cutscenes. And where the game stands out from most of its competitors is obviously in its artistic direction.
The Ni no Kuni license is known for its collaboration with the giant of Japanese animation, the Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, …). And the release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds confirms that, although this opus is exclusively available on mobile, the graphic touch of the license is there, in cut scenes but also in-game.
Full and efficient gameplay per class
Now that we’ve done the praise for the story and the graphics, it’s time to talk about the gameplay. Upon release, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds features a extensive contentwith many quests spread across multiple areas.
When creating your character, you will have the choice between 5 classes :
- Rebel : fast and ranged attack;
- hammerer : melee tank;
- Witch : ranged magic attack;
- learned : support, technology and care;
- Swordsman : balanced between attack and defense.
In addition to his basic attack, your character has 3 class skills. You can add to that 3 active special skills and 3 passive special skills. Each of them can be upgraded individually to increase their stats.
As I mentioned earlier, the world of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is populated by small creatures that can come to your aid. For example, you can equip up to 3 familiars, which strengthen your power. To obtain new pets, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds incorporates mechanics of gacha.
Like Pokemon, your pets as well as your weapons belong to an element : Water wins over Fire, which is itself effective against the Plant type, which has the advantage against Water.
An automatic mode too present
In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worldsyou can globally automate everything. By selecting a quest, your character moves to it on its own. During the fights, it’s the same thing, you can choose to fight in manual or to switch to automatic mode.
Be careful, however, not to abuse this automation, at the risk of missing out on many rewards scattered on the map. Moreover, the game loses much of its interest when its gameplay is amputated in this way.
In the end, the Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds release confirms the quality of the license with a complete mobile game, which does not seem to show any major flaws at its global launch. It is therefore without hesitation that I recommend this game, available on iOS and Android, if you are a fan of RPGs and Japanese animation. The only downside is that we still don’t know at this time how Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will integrate the blockchain, as we told you about recently.
