Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will integrate the blockchain

While the worldwide release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds fast approaching, we now know that Netmarble’s game will integrate features related to the blockchain. But the studio does not intend to stop there. Many franchises are expected to follow in these footsteps in the months and years to come.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds coming soon worldwide

Developed by Netmarble and Level-5, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a Colorful and dreamlike Japanese MMORPG. Appearing for the first time in 2019, Ni no Kuni: Crossworlds was talked about the following year at the Tokyo Game Show 2020 with a long gameplay trailer.

In particular, there are cutscenes that highlight the artistic direction characteristic of the license thanks to its collaboration with studio Ghibli.

After a release in Japan on June 10, 2021, the developers have just announced that the worldwide release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will take place duringsummer 2022.

Netmarble gets into blockchain

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will therefore be the Netmarble’s first game from a large license to integrate the blockchain. In effect, A3: Still Alive already contains an economic system that is based on a cryptocurrency: theinetrium.

However, the South Korean studio presented last February the MBX token. This will serve as the currency for the MARBLEX wallet, the blockchain ecosystem linked to the Klaytn network.

Concretely, theearned money in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds by farming or through dungeons can be exchanged for MBX tokens. We don’t have more details at this time as to the quantity and value of these tokens.

At its latest press event, Netmarble unveiled the start of its roadmap regarding the games that will use the blockchain.
