Nothing presents its Ear (Stick), its new headphones with an amazing design
Nothing has lifted the veil on its new baby, the Ear (Stick), its new semi-intra headphones. If they want to be less efficient than the Ear (1), the brand’s first product, they want to provide more comfort to the user as well as a design that changes from the ordinary.
Nothing has just presented its third product, the Ear Stick. These are semi-intra headphones with a very particular design. Their box is presented in the form of a tube which pivots, like a lipstick.
As he had done with the Ear (1) and the Phone (1), Nothing relies heavily on a semi-transparent design. On the case, of course, but also on the headphones themselves. The latter want to provide optimal comfort to the user, which was not the case with the previous model.
The Nothing (Stick) focus on comfort more than performance
These Sticks do not want to replace the Ear (1), but to complete an already existing range. Here we have semi-intra (without silicone tips, therefore) of 4.4 grams each who want to seduce users looking for comfort, not necessarily performance. This also goes through the case, usable with one hand and very pleasant to handle.
Nothing Phone 1 test: finally a smartphone that stands out!
On the technical side, we say goodbye to the ANC, but Nothing specifies that the product has noise reduction up to 31 decibels. We also note the presence of a 12.6 mm dynamic driver as well as Bass Lock technology to prevent sound leaks. The microphone, meanwhile, is now located on the outside of the stems (versus the inside for the Ear 1) to better pick up your voice. The two small devices have a press control system that allows you to stop the music, replacing the perfectible touch control of the Ear (1). On the autonomy side, the brand promises seven hours for each earphone and 29 hours in total with the case. We remain within the current average. It should also be noted that they are IP54 certified.
Interestingly, Phone (1) users will be able to access quick settings directly from their phone’s drop-down menu. For other terminals, it will suffice to access the dedicated application, which we are promised more advanced than the current version. For example, it will be possible to customize the press touch or adjust the sound to your liking.
The Nothing Ear (Stick) will be available on the manufacturer’s website and on Amazon from November 4. They will be sold at 119 euroswhich is cheaper than the Ear (1)… after their price increase.
