Official OnePlus Pad: here is the manufacturer’s first tablet with its 144 Hz screen
OnePlus has just introduced the world’s first 7:5 ratio screen for tablets with its first-generation Pad. This super-powered tablet is the company’s first, here’s everything you need to know about it.
While OnePlus has just launched its new high-end smartphone, the OnePlus 11, the Chinese manufacturer has also lifted the veil on its first tablet: the OnePlus Pad. Although the details provided by OnePlus at launch are limited, we tell you everything you need to know, starting with its rather particular screen.
The OnePlus Pad has a 11.61-inch 2800 x 2000 pixel Dolby Vision LCD displaypresented in a aspect ratio 7:5, an industry first, which should appeal to ebook readers, digital artists and gamers. Thin 6.54mm edges allow for 88% screen-to-body ratiowhile a particularly high refresh rate, up to 144Hz, is integrated for quick visuals. Note also that the brightness is 500 nits, the color depth 10 bits, the contrast of 1,500:1 and the touch sampling of 120/144 Hz.
The OnePlus Pad is one of the most powerful Android tablets
The OnePlus Pad is powered by a chipset Dimensity 9000 from Mediatek, with 8 or 12 GB of RAM128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and a single 13 MP rear camera. The latter is placed in a circular photo module, like the OnePlus 11. This camera is compatible with 4K videos. An 8MP 1080p camera is also present on the front.
There is also WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 4 speakers, and a 9510 mAh battery with 67W fast charging allows it to be fully charged in 80 minutes. The battery should offer up to 14.5 hours of video playback, but you’ll have to wait for its release to be sure.
The OnePlus Pad is offered in a halo green color matching the OnePlus 11 and with a “Star Orbit” engraving, i.e. lines etched into the CNC machined aluminum rear panel, which start from the rear camera. The OnePlus Pad will be available for pre-order in Europe in April, without further details, but there is no pricing information yet.
