Pokémon TCG Live Beta Released Worldwide

by mobailee November 16, 2022 37

Already available in several regions since last month, the Pokemon TCG Live beta is finally coming to PC and mobile worldwide. Let’s discover together the additions that this highly anticipated new version of the collectible card game from the Pokémon universe has in store for us.

Finally a replacement for Pokémon TCG Online

It’s been over a year since IP fans have been waiting to get their hands on the Pokemon TCG Live beta on Android, iOS and PC. Indeed, this new version of the game was announced at the end of last year with a trailer on the official Pokémon Youtube channel.

And the least we can say is that this announcement had caused a stir in the fanbase, since the previous version, Pokemon TCG Onlinewas released in 2010. It is therefore 12 years later that this new game takes over from the cult collectible card game.

But since then, competition has moved into the TCG market with Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra or Yu Gi Oh! Master Duel, released this year. Even more recently, it’s Marvel Snap which has just upset the codes of the genre and has enjoyed colossal success since its launch.

What’s new in the Pokémon TCG Live beta

From What’s New in the Pokémon TCG Live Beta compared to the old game, there are several improvements that are obvious. First, the matchmaking is significantly faster in normal matches as well as in ranked gamesthe operation of which has also undergone an overhaul.

Then theinterface has been completely redesigned for more fluidity and animation updated.

But to play Pokémon TCG Live, you need cards. Apart from those obtained naturally in the game, a Free and Paid Battle Pass allows you to unlock them, as well as other rewards. You can also win in-game cards by scanning the QR codes actual Pokemon Trading Card Game card packs.

Whether you’re an early fan of the Pokémon IP, or just a fan of card games, I recommend giving the Pokemon TCG Live beta, available on Android, iOS and PC. To discover other similar games, I redirect you to our top of the best mobile TCGs.
