Good news for mobile FPS enthusiasts. Ubisoft has just released the announcement trailer for Rainbow Six Mobile. It is the mobile adaptation of Rainbow Six Siege, whose success is well established. So what do we know about Rainbow Six Mobile content?
Rainbow Six Mobile’s first announcement trailer formalizes the R6 port
Although it is a creation of the studio Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Mobile will not be developed by the same team as Rainbow Six Siege. It’s a separate team that has been dedicated exclusively to this mobile porting for 3 years.
The goal is to allow more players access to one of Rainbow Six while maintaining a competitive, tactical and immersive experience. The developers have taken special care of theoptimization of controls to match mobile platforms as closely as possible.
It was on the game’s Youtube channel, created for the occasion, that the trailer for Rainbow Six Mobile appeared.
The trailer for Rainbow Six Mobile confirms that the title takes the formula of its big brother. One team must attack while the other must defend. The clashes take place in 5 against 5, the sets are destructible and the gadgets are ubiquitous. The games will nevertheless be shorter than in Rainbow Six Siege, with a duration that varies between 8 and 12 minutes. About the game modeswe just know that the bomb defusal and the area securing Will be present.
What content is available at launch?
At the moment, two cards are confirmed in the announcement of R6 mobile: the bank and the border. On the agent side, only 10 are currently known (5 attackers and 5 defenders), but we will discover more before the game is released. Each of them has unique equipment, such as barbed wire, an exothermic charge , a signal jammer or even a bulletproof shield.
Like more and more mobile games, Rainbow Six Siege will include a battle pass to unlock in-game content. These should last about 6 weeks according to two game designers interviewed by Gamespot.
