Release of Gwent: Rogue Mage, the solo expansion of The Witcher TCG
CD Projekt has just announced the Gwent: Rogue Mage release on iOS and Android. This is the first solo expansion for Gwent, the card game from the universe of The Witcher. For the occasion, the gameplay has been redesigned to offer a unique experience. Let’s discover together the differences between this PvE version and the multiplayer.
A solo version more accessible than PvP
The Gwent: Rogue Mage release immerses us several hundred years with the birth of Geralt, the main protagonist of The Witcher saga. Accompany Alzura young mage who aims to develop a weapon capable of definitively destroying the monsters that threaten the survival of humanity.
Gwent: Rogue Mage does not just repeat the gameplay of Gwent. To make the game more accessible, the gameplay has been simplified. Thus, the decks are specialized and the cards are unlocked gradually to give players time to assimilate the specificities of each.
What’s new in the release of Gwent: Rogue Mage
On the novelty side, the Gwent: Rogue Mage release incorporates mechanisms for roguelike. The map you move on is procedurally generated. When you lose, you have to start over on a new card.
However, each try makes you stronger since you unlock new cards to expand your deck and implement increasingly elaborate strategies. The duration of the game’s campaign is estimated at 30 hoursbut the game includes several difficulty levels if you like the challenge.
To take advantage of the Gwent: Rogue Mage release, it’s not in the base game that this happens. Indeed, this extension is a stand-alone, available for the price of 10,99€ on Android and 9.99€ on iOS. If you prefer to play on PC, the game is also available on Steam.
For the Deluxe version, count 10€ more. For that price, you’ll get the official soundtrack and three alternate hero skins. You will also unlock rewards for the base game, namely 4 card backs with the image of the game, 5 ultimate premium barrels, the Iamurak board as well as the title First witcher.
That’s it for the Gwent: Rogue Mage release, the single-player card game expansion set in The Witcher universe. To discover new games of the game, I redirect you to our top of the best collectible card games on mobile.
