Results of the Mobi Awards 2022: the best mobile games of the year

After several weeks of surveys, the time has come to reveal the results of the Mobi Awards 2022. Let’s go over together the course of the competition, the games you preferred in each of the six categories, as well as the one you designated as being the best mobile game of the year 2022.

The progress of the Mobi Awards 2022

Before revealing to you the results of the Mobi Awards 2022let’s quickly come back to the operation of this competition for elect the best game of the year. First, ahead of the event, we sat down with the team to determine which games would fall into each category, with instructions to select only games released in 2022.

The votes have taken place over the past few weeks on the YouTube channel and on our Discord. First, you voted for the best game of each of the 6 categories in different polls. The winners then played three by three in the semi-finals, then the last two games were decided during the grand finale.

The best mobile shooter of 2022

In the first category devoted to shooting games, we find T3 Arena, Lost Light, NERF: Superblast, Wild Arena Survivors and Apex Legends Mobile. Unsurprisingly, the results of the Mobi Awards 2022 place Ubisoft’s BR mobile adaptation well ahead as best mobile shooter of the year.

Apex Legends Mobile dethroned everyone with its very dynamic gameplay, which allows players to jump, slide, use special skills, and even do all three at the same time, all taking place in neat futuristic settings. The best mobile RPG of 2022

We continue the results of the Mobi Awards 2022 with the second survey, in which you had to choose your Favorite RPG of the Year. You had the choice between Undecember, Octopath Traveler, Polygon FantasyTower of Fantasy and Torchlight Infinite.

Once again, if you follow the news of mobile games a little, you will not be surprised to discover that Tower of Fantasy crushed the competition. His exploration mechanics and his combat system rightly seduced many of you.

The best mobile multiplayer game of 2022

Let’s move on to the third poll of the results of the Mobi Awards 2022, which is none other than the election of the best multiplayer game on android and ios. We had selected Hot Lap League: Racing Mania!, Autochess MOBAFlash Party, Catalyst Black and Crossout Mobile.

Each of the 5 games had its heyday, but it’s Autochess MOBA, released recently, which made its competitors bent. Downloadable for free on Android and iOS, the game already includes 25 champions, all available for release without spending any money. Autochess MOBA is heavily inspired by its big brother DOTA and its cousin League of Legends: Wild Rift.

There are different mechanics similar to DOTA, such as the item carrier or even the day/night cycle. Even if it doesn’t bring anything new to the MOBA genre, Autochess still puts pressure on similar titles thanks to its well thought-out interface and the neat design of its characters. The best indie mobile game of 2022

For the fourth category of the Mobi Awards 2022 results, we’re mainly talking to purists, with your best indie mobile game of the year armi Isle of Arrows, The Past Within, One Hand Clapping, Skies of Chaos and Scourge Bringer.

Tower defense Isle of Arrows fought well, but this is my favorite Skies of Chaos who is the big winner of this fight. Developed by Netflix and available with its subscription on Android and iOS, Skies of Chaos is a shoot ’em up who has it in his stomach.

His dynamic and colorful gameplay offers excellent gaming sensations and you won’t get lost in the menus, as they are very intuitive. Fly to the aid of the exiled rebels through the different levels, but watch out for General Guenillard’s henchmen who won’t let you.

You can even choose your style of play precise among dozens of pilots, co-pilots, planes and skills of all kinds. Very far from micro-transactions and repeated in-game ads, Skies Of Chaos will challenge you from the first levels and allow you to find out if you are a player who likes a challenge.

The best mobile gacha game of 2022

The fifth category of Mobi awards 2022 results allowed you to select the best gacha of the year among Figure FantasyDislyte, Awaken: Chaos Era, Infinite Magic Raid and Disney Mirrorverse.

Dislyte garnered more than half of your votes and stands out as the best gacha of the year. The disco pop RPG from Lilith Games is enhanced by its ambitious artistic direction, but it is above all the sound design that has marked most players.

The dislyte music vary from menus to boss fights and go from hip-hop to disco to jazz. In classic gacha fashion, compose your team and defeat monsters, each more dangerous than the other, to obtain maximum loot.

Each character is associated with a mythological figure Chinese, Scandinavian or Egyptian. So, take the opportunity to revise your classics. The best mobile strategy game of 2022

Before moving on to the results of the semi-finals of the Mobi Awards 2022, there is one last category to reveal. For the best mobile strategy game of the yearyou had the choice between Clash MiniSoccer Manager 2023, marvel snap, Phobias and Yu Gi Oh! Cross Duel.

Of course, it’s marvel snap who wins with a large majority of votes. The game gets rid of all the complicated mechanics that can be found in the most famous TCGs, such as Hearthstone or even Legends of Runeterra.

the Marvel Snap gameplay is based on original mechanics, well thought out and extremely addictive. The game has a system ofpitches that directly affect the course of the games in unique ways. In addition, these slots are regularly updated and force players to adapt their decks and it allows the meta to be constantly evolving.

Results of the semi-finals of the Mobi Awards 2022

Now that we have our winners in each category, it’s time to move on to the 2022 Mobi Awards semi-final results. In the first poll, it’s Electronic Arts’ battle royale, Apex Legends Mobileavailable for free on iOS and Android, which won against Tower of Fantasy and Autochess MOBA.

The second semi-final opposed Dislyte, Marvel Snap and Skies of Chaos. With two thirds of the votes, it is marvel snapavailable on Android, iOS and PC, which joins Apex in the final of the competition.

Results of the final of the Mobi Awards 2022

It’s finally time for results of the Mobi Awards 2022 with the grand finalewhich pits the hugely popular card game marvel snapto the mobile adaptation of the famous battle-royale in FPS, Apex Legends Mobile.

In a much tighter poll than in the semi-finals, you chose 55% of the votes to crown Apex Legends Mobile as the best mobile game of the year 2022. We look forward to seeing you next year for a new edition.
