Nothing, the young brand of Carl Pei, unveils several details of the Ear 1, its first true wireless headphones. The design of the case as well as several technical information about autonomy are announced, a few days before the virtual conference scheduled for July 27, 2021.

After leaving OnePlus, Carl Pei has not been idle enjoying life. He immediately followed up with a new project: Nothing. This new start-up will distribute high-tech products. The first of these will be a pair of headphones called Nothing Ear 1. They will be fully formalized on July 27, 2021. In the meantime, Nothing, like OnePlus, is engaged in a finely orchestrated teasing campaign.

As proof, a week before the conference, the brand unveils several technical information about the case, as well as its design. You can also discover the latter with the visuals accompanying this article. Many elements are transparent, so that the headphones can be seen through the shell. This is perhaps the meaning of the name of the Nothing brand: transparency in the products. Note that the headphones would also be partially transparent.

The technical sheet of the Nothing Ear 1 box is already official

On the technical sheet side, Nothing specifies the capacity of the integrated battery: it is a model 570 mAh. The box is compatible wireless charging, in addition to wired charging thanks to its USB type-C port visible on the edge of the photos. The box is fast charging compatible. In 10 minutes, it absorbs enough energy to provide 6 to 8 hours of autonomy headphones (depending on whether noise reduction is activated).

Fully charged, the box offers between 24 and 34 hours of autonomy (always depending on active noise reduction). You can see that Active Noise Canceling reduces headphone battery life by around 25%. It is considerable. This noise reduction is provided by 3 microphones integrated into each earpiece, information revealed two weeks ago. Nothing promises a premium experience at a low price. Recall that headphones should be sold 99 euros only. Or at the same price as the Enco Free2 from Oppo, for example.
