TFT Patch 12.7: the update for Worlds 2022
While the Worlds of Teamfight Tactics will take place in 2 weeks, Riot Games has just published the TFT Update 12.7 patch notes. Let’s decipher together the impacts that the changes made to champions and augments by this patch will have.
TFT Worlds 2022 will be played on patch 12.7
Of April 29 to May 1will take place the Teamfight Tactics World Championships. Many French and Francophones are also qualified. Targeted, Dual 61 for the Karmine Corp, Voltariux for Solary or A33d for Aegis, the esport structure founded by Shaunz, DFG and MisterMV.
Suffice to say that TFT patch 12.7 is very important, since it is on this update that the players will compete during the Worlds.
What are the changes in the TFT 12.7 update?
To start, we will focus on the changes applied to champions and their type. So, who will become the new Shaco of this edition of TFT Worlds?
Champions and their type
Concerning the champion types, few changes. The scholars gain mana while Repeaters lose attack damage and Yordles mana reduction. A few subtle changes, then, to get the ball rolling for TFT patch 12.7.
The damage of Corky are reduced, which starts to do a lot if you count the Repeater-type nerf mentioned above. Caitlyn now needs less mana to cast its devastating ultimate attack and the base health of Cho’Gath go from 700 to 750.
The base damage increase of Tryndamere and of Draven may allow champions to be viable, which is currently not the case. Sivir, meanwhile, loses attack speed as well as damage on its ricochets. Let’s hope it still remains a good unit.
Change for augments
But where there are the most changes in this patch 12.7 of TFT, it is undoubtedly at the level of increases. First of all, this update will be an opportunity to to delete a certain number :
- Union Hextech
- Hextech Crest
- Scholar’s Coat of Arms
- Sylvan Relic
On the side of major augment changesit can be noted that evil twin is once again nerfed. The 3 levels ofElectrocharge deal more magic damage to nearby enemies when your units take critical hits.
Chances of getting a free roll with the upgrade Golden Ticket go from 45% to 50%. On the other hand, the Seducers will undergo the nerve of the augment Irresistible Charm which goes from the Silver level to the Gold level. Same thing for the Repeaters whose augment becomes Prismatic instead of Gold.
Finally, the 1,600 HP of the Talisman Sylvester turn into 1,800, which will be very strong in the early game and will deplete slower than before.
This video from Mortdog, who works at Riot Games on game balance, explains the decisions made by the developers.
That’s all for this TFT patch 12.7. In the end, we note that these are the Repeaters who have suffered the most, that it will be necessary to monitor the increase Electrocharge as well as the potential return of Tryndamere and of Draven.
