TFT patch 13.1: the first patch of the year 2023
After patch 12.23b released before the winter break, the year 2023 begins with the TFT patch 13.1, which brings many changes to balance the meta of the game. Set 8 being still recent, the next few weeks will be decisive in defining the direction that the meta will take. Discover in this article all the buffs, nerfs and tweaks traits, champions, augments and items from set 8.
TFT patch 13.1: set 8 trait changes
We begin the changes of this TFT patch 13.1 with the lines, marked mainly by the redesign of the origin Program which should improve their importance in games.
On the side of the nerves, these are the Brawlers and the spell casters which will be less impactful in the meta. For more details on classes and origins, head over to our Set 8 TFT Traits Guide.

TFT patch 13.1: set 8 champion changes
Many champions are impacted in the TFT patch 13.1. As we’ll see later with Heroic Augments going through a lot of changes, the nearly minus-long holiday break at the start of Set 8 gave players time to explore the meta and abusing the best TFT comps from set 8. So this leads us to an important patch with major buffs and nerfs of certain champions.

TFT patch 13.1: set 8 Augment changes
The only buff toTFT patch 13.1 increase concerns the increase Born Hunter I, whose healing per enemy kill increases from 300 to 350 HP. On the other hand, there are 4 augments that are removed from the set (Blue Battery, All Different I, Evil Twin I and Pandora’s Items), and many others are nerfed. To see the full list of optimizations, head to our tier list of Set 8 TFT Augments.
TFT patch 13.1: set 8 heroic augment changes
Logically, with the recent addition of heroic optimizationsmany of them undergo adjustments in order to balance the patch 13.1 TFT meta. This should still be the case in the next patch, even if the long break at the end of the year accentuates the effect on this update.
