TFT set 7.5: always more dragons

by mobailee August 24, 2022 47

While patch 12.16 has just been released on the live servers, the PBE version already allows you to discover the new TFT traits and champions from set 7.5. Let’s see together what are the changes of this update. On the program: a complete overhaul of the Dragon class, as well as the addition and deletion of many champions and traits.

TFT set 7.5: Dragons revamp

The great novelty of TFT set 7.5 is the total overhaul of the Dragon trait. Indeed, until then, it was not possible to combine Dragon champions, unless you obtained one of the two Augments that allowed this. It is now over since Dragon becomes a synergywhich like Guild champions, offers cumulative bonuses :

  • 1 Dragon : 500 HP
  • 2 Dragoons : 20 magic resistance and armor
  • 3 Dragoons : 10% damage bonus;
  • 4 Dragoons : 1 additional place on the ground
  • 5 Dragoons : 10% attack speed bonus.

In addition, their cost is reduced, since epic dragons cost 7 gold instead of 8 and 8 gold instead of 10 for legendary dragons. Five new dragons appear in addition to the seven already present, bringing the total to 12. However, these still take up two places.

TFT set 7.5: new traits

To bring a bit of freshness and novelty, four new traits were added in TFT with set 7.5. Let’s discover together their specificities.

Features Landings Effects
dark flight 2/4/6/8 Create a sacrifice square. The champion placed on this space cannot fight, but all Darkflight champions receive a random copy of one of their items, as well as a bonus of 700/900/1200/1800 HP.
Lagoon 3/6/9/12 Lagoon Champions gain 20/40/70/200 attack power and attack speed. The more spells the Lagoon units cast, the more the Sea Stone rewards with item components or gold coins.
Monolith 3 Miamsy randomly gains a trait between Cannoneer, Mage and Sorcerer and summons the Dragonnier of this trait (Tristana, Heimerdinger or Lulu). When Miamsy dies, the Dragon Rider gains a 100% attack speed bonus.
Prodigy 3 Create 3 squares on the terrain. Units that begin combat in these squares gain 15% damage reduction.

Removed set 7 traits

To compensate for the arrival of the four new 7.5 set TFT features, three others were withdrawn. So we can say goodbye to lines Dragon Rider, Legend and Pyrotechnician, as well as their champions. Let’s move on to our next part, dedicated to champions.

TFT set 7.5: new champions

You can imagine that if there are new traits in TFT with set 7.5, it also means that new champions are appearing. They number 21 and are accompanied by the redesign of Swain, who becomes a Dragon and retains none of his three traits from set 7.

Set 7 champions removed

Logically, with the arrival of new traits and champions, some fighters had to bow out. We count in total 22 champions removed from TFT set 7.5 :

That’s all for the set 7.5 TFT trait and champion changes. Available only on the PBE at the moment, you will find all the details of this update in our TFT guide to the meta when it is available for all players.
