TFT Set 7: Dragons Arrive in Summoner’s Rift
As Set 6, Crazy Gadgets, is nearing its end, Riot Games has just revealed more information about the set 7 of TFT: Dragonlands. Let’s discover together the new classes and origins as well as the major changes of this set which will have the theme of dragons.
The dragons in the spotlight in set 7 of TFT
Dragons have always held an important place in the League of Legends universe. Unlike Baron Nashor in Summoner’s Rift, the dragon is also present in TFT during PvE rounds.
On the champion side, there are already two dragon fighters: Aurelion Sol and Shyvana. But to base an entire set on this theme, it wasn’t enough. To remedy this, Riot decided to incorporate more dragons into TFT’s set 7.
Dragon champions will be 7 in number and will cost more than other units of the same rarity. For example, Ao Shinwho is a legendary champion, will cost 10 gold instead of 5.
To support the theme, a new dragon trait will appear. Like the Colossi, the dragons will occupy two spaces on your lot, but will receive a health boost and their trait bonus will be multiplied by 3.
Like the God-King type of set 5 or Jinx and VI on the current set. the dragon bonuses will only be active if you have a single champion with this trait. However, it will be possible to override this limit, but we don’t know how yet.
New classes, origins and augments
If you enjoyed set 6.5, you’ll be happy to hear that augments will be back. Exit the hexcore, place the dragon tomb. We will find some of the augments that made the success of set 6, but also many new features, such as the Sacrificial Pactwhich allows XP to be purchased with life instead of gold, or ThinkFastwhich makes refreshing the shop free until the end of the round.

here is list of classes and origins that we were able to distinguish in this preview of set 7 of TFT:
- Jade
- Shapeshifter
- Astral
- Swiftshot
- Guild
- Rider
- Tempest
- Whispers
- magician
- brawler
PvE, too, will see a change with the replacement of the Raptors by the Dragon’s Treasure. This can contain items or gold coins, and if you don’t like the contents, you can exchange it for 1 gold.
the set 7 of TFT will arrive on June 8, 2022 with the patch 12.11, but will be available on the PBE starting May 24. So you don’t have much time left to climb the leaderboard and reach your best rank.
