TFT set 8: the first news of the next season

As we approach the Worlds of set 7.5, the TFT set 8, named Attack of the Monsters, is revealed for the first time in a video from the developers. Let’s discover together the new championsthem new features and the changes in game mechanics that the next season of Teamfight Tactics has in store for us.

New TFT set 8 traits and champions

Context switch for the TFT set 8who leaves the era of dragons for theAttack of the monsters, in the city of Spatulopolis. With this change that will take place in patch 12.23, we will be able to discover new new features. At the moment we only know 7 classes and origins : Star Guardian, Mech, Threat, Anima Squad, Underground, Ox Force and ADMIN

Augments definitely earn their place

Another important point of this TFT set 8 is here conservation of the augmentation system introduced in set 6. The devs have been clear about this, augments are now fully part of how TFT games work.

However, each set will benefit from custom optimizations, starting with the heroic augments which will arrive in set 8. These buffs only affect a particular champion and grant them various bonuses.

For example, a heroic augment transform Alistar’s spell, which usually knocks enemies up in the air, allowing it to deal area damage and grant a large amount of HP. His other Heroic Enhancement will buff his spell damage based on his max HP.

Here is what we know about TFT set 8 at present. However, there is still time before discovering these new features on the live servers, since the release of set 8 of TFT is planned with the arrival of patch 12.23, the December 7, 2022.
