“Apple overtook Vivo in October 2021 to become the biggest smartphone seller in China”, Counterpoint announces. Conversely, the rest of the Chinese mobile phone market only grew by 2% between September and October 2021.

According to Counterpoint, Apple could have sold more iPhones if the shortage of computer chips had not crippled its production lines. According to the latest news, the iPhone 13 shortages should also continue until February despite the production agreements made by Apple with its suppliers.
In China, buyers keen to afford an iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max should wait “Between four and five weeks”says analyst Varun Mishra. “Apple could have earned more without the shortages, especially on the Pro versions”, argues Tarun Pathak, who points out that Apple “Manages its supply chain better than other manufacturers”.
