The iPhone 13 has a 15% bigger battery than the iPhone 12, this teardown proves it
The iPhone 13 is visibly powered by a 25% larger battery than that of its direct predecessor, the iPhone 12. According to a teardown that appeared online, Apple has revised the layout of the components to integrate this imposing accumulator.
True to form, Apple did not mention the exact battery size iPhone 13 during the presentation keynote. During the conference, the brand’s executives were content to talk about the autonomy of the new smartphones. Apple claims to have greatly improved the autonomy of all models.
According to the Cupertino giant, the standard iPhone 13 offers 2.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12. The gap is mostly meaningful video streaming. On its official website, Apple announces 19 hours of battery life when playing streaming videos, compared to only 11 hours for the iPhone 12.

To achieve boost the autonomy of the iPhone 13, Apple has integrated bigger batteries at the heart of his phones. According to a filing on Chemtrec’s website, the standard model would be powered by a 12.41 watt-hour battery, up 15% from the iPhone 12’s 10.78 watt-hour battery. .
