The Pixel Watch should have a surprising processor
The Pixel Watch continues to be talked about. Today, it is its technical data sheet that is leaking on the web. We thus know its processor, and it is surprising. The connected watch was made official by Google recently but will not be presented at any length before this summer.
We’ve been talking about the Pixel Watch, Google’s smartwatch, for months and months. Now formalized, we still don’t know much about it, the brand making the suspense last. Fortunately the leaks are there.
The 9to5Google site thus reveals several interesting things. The first is the processor. Google would have made the choice a Samsung Exynos 9110 SoC, specially designed for this type of product. It will be associated with a yet unknown co-processor. We can put a coin on a SoC stamped Tensor, the in-house processor of the Mountain View company.
The Pixel Watch won’t arrive until this fall
On top of that, the US site says the Pixel Watch should have 1.5 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, which is huge for a connected watch. It should also provide haptic feedback, that is to say an intelligent use of vibrations to convey specific sensations to the user. This watch should be available in two versions, one only Wifi / Bluetooth and another compatible 4G.
Pixel 7: Google formalizes its future premium smartphone
Finally, 9to5Google specifies that this Pixel Watch should have exactly the same sensors as on the Fitbit Luxe and the Charge 5, that is to say a heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen sensor and an electrocardiogram. In short, what to become one of the watches for Android the most complete on the market. We remind you that it will ship Wear OS.
Rumors and other leaks have been swirling around this product for months and months. During the Google I/O opening conference a few days ago, the Mountain View company finally decided to make it official… but that’s it. We will have the right to a more detailed presentation during the summer, at the same time as the Pixel 7. If all goes well, the Pixel Watch should hit the market next October. So we just have to wait to be able to put our hands on this long-awaited watch.
