The release of eFootball 2022 mobile delayed
While Konami has just formalized via Twitter the arrival v1.0.0 of eFootball 2022 on consoles and PC on April 14, the release of eFootball 2022 mobile is once again postponed. For good reason, the developers have favored the correction of errors on the PC and console versions.
After the success of the mobile version of eFootball 2021 (more than 100 million downloads), it is only natural that Konami is preparing a new version of its free-to-play football simulation game.
Logically named eFootball 2022 mobile, this new opus has already unveiled its first images. These visuals were published in September 2021 in a gameplay trailer more than 6 minutes.
However, 6 months after launch of the first version on PC and consoles, the developers still indicate that they are working on the fixed server and matchmaking issues. This is an already recurring problem in older iterations of the license that the studio is striving to solve.
In the meantime, only the current version continues to receive fixes and content updates.
A mobile version of 2022 canceled?
For now, no release date has been announced yet. Moreover, it is not impossible that Konami decides to completely cancel the 2022 edition to focus on that of 2023.
Indeed, football games usually come out in September to follow the return of professional clubs. It remains to be seen whether the studio will choose to upset your schedule maintaining this gap of several months. This option involves a lot of risk in a market already largely dominated by Electronics Arts and its annual FIFA.
Either way, we should have more information soon on a possible release of eFootball 2022 mobile.
