TikTok launches Jump, a much more interactive video system
TikTok announces the launch of Jump, a new system of much more interactive videos. Concretely, developers can now integrate other sites and services into certain videos, in a more integrated user experience.
TikTok innovates again with Jump, a novelty that allows creators to offer videos that are much more interactive and integrated with their site or service. The videos in question offer a link that allows the user, for example, to obtain additional information, participate in a game, access a Wikipedia definition or read the recipe the content was talking about.
We understand both creators and users can publish videos with a Jump. The announcement of this new feature closes a beta phase during which Whisk, Breathwrk, Wikipedia, Quizlet, StatMuse and Tabelog were able to create their first “Jumps” – which allows you to test right now what it is all about. TikTok announces the feature’s arrival on a handful of other big accounts, including BuzzFeed, Jumprope, IRL and WATCHA “in the next weeks”.
TikTok Enhances Creator Videos with Jump, a New Integration System
TikTok explains: “TikTok has become a destination for both fun and learning; Through TikTok Jump we are creating the ‘last mile’ of our community’s journey of discovery while creating the spark for more action and deeper interaction both on and off the platform ”.
The social network adds a little further: “As we begin the next steps in the evolution of TikTok Jump, we are now opening the program to new vendors who can provide exciting experiences for our community.“. And to continue: “With HTLM5 compatibility, and minimal technical integration efforts, vendors can build and deploy their Jumps with ease.”

The video at the end of the article shows the screens for integrating a service into a user’s video. The process is indeed very trivial, although we are not sure we fully understand the nuance between these “Jumps” and simple hyperlinks..
