TousAntiCovid: victim of a bug, the application was unable to display health passes
A bug in TousAntiCovid probably spoiled the weekend for many French people wishing to go to public places. Indeed, between Friday and Saturday, several technical issues prevented the display of the QR Code. The authorities are looking for a problem at the level of the servers, too busy in recent days.
You may have experienced it this weekend when you wanted to have a drink on the terrace or go to the movies. As of Friday, a series of technical issues has private some health pass users. While this summer’s precious sesame is available seven days after the last dose of vaccine and as soon as the result of a PCR test is obtained, several French people have had the unpleasant surprise of not see it happening on their TousAntiCovid application.
“Warning: the Pro Santé Connect service (connection to SI-DEP by e-CPS or CPS) encountered disruptions on Friday August 13 from 3.30 p.m. to midnight, as well as Saturday August 14 from 8.30 to 10.30 am”, can we read on the home page of the SI-DEP portal, used by pharmacists to inform test results, before specifying that “The situation seems to have recovered, but we are keeping a close watch on this service over the next few days”. Philippe Denry, vice-president of the Federation of Pharmaceutical Unions of France (FSPF), indicated that “For the moment it seems to be working”.
TousAntiCovid was temporarily unable to display the health pass
It was at 4 p.m. Friday that the problems started. According to the Directorate General of Health (DGS), the bug concerned especially antigenic tests. PCR tests and vaccines do not appear to have been affected. According to Philippe Denry, the problem could come from “Very important flows, especially Friday afternoon because of the crossover between departures on vacation for people who have to take trains, planes or other, and because of activities linked to the weekend”.

A concern for servers, therefore, who have already made their own since the arrival of the health pass in the TousAntiCovid application. This Saturday, the Ministry of Health held a crisis meeting to address the problem, which we have no information about at the moment. For their part, health professionals hope that the bugs will not recur. At the rate of 300,000 antigenic tests performed every day, an increase in server capacity seems like a good start.
