The “Delta” variant, much more virulent than the strain we experienced at the start of the health crisis in early 2020, is causing an increase in cases and hospitalizations. The first reaction is obviously to strengthen the measures that limit the spread of the virus: reinstatement of the compulsory mask in closed public places, study of vaccination for children aged 5 to 11, or even a booster vaccination campaign with the opening. , the reopening or strengthening of vaccination centers in France. In his speech, Olivier Véran confirms that the effectiveness of the vaccine is dropping considerably faster than expected. People who have had COVID-19 in the past have stronger natural immunity than those who have never been in contact with the virus. So much so that the latter once again become people at risk, both for themselves and their loved ones. As a result, the health pass will have maximum validity which will now have to be renewed.

Starting the December 15, the health pass for all people aged 65 and over who have been vaccinated seven months previously (or more) will be disabled in the TousAntiCovid application. In practice, if you were vaccinated on May 15, 2021 (or before), your health pass will be deactivated in the app on December 15. This will also be the case from January 15th for all adults vaccinated before June 15. And you will receive an alert if it does.

The booster dose reactivates the health pass in TousAntiCovid

To reactivate it, nothing could be simpler: all you need to do is get a booster dose of the vaccine. It is possible to receive it five months after receiving the second injection. At the end, you will receive a new QR Code that you need enter in the vaccination record of the TousAntiCovid application. And voila. As a reminder, the booster dose has been open to over 65s (or people with comorbidities or immunocompromised) since September 1 and will be open to any adult on November 27.

On the PCR test side, some changes as well. A PCR test will only give access to the health pass for 24 hours and no longer 72 hours as today. This measure will come into force on November 29, 2021. The test obviously remains payable, except for a doctor’s prescription for symptomatic people. The QR Code can also be entered in the vaccination record.
