WWDC 2022: iOS 16, macOS 16, iPad OS 16, details on future Apple announcements

Apple’s WWDC 2022 will take place from June 6 to 10. Bloomberg claims to know a few details about the brand’s announcements. Unsurprisingly, they would only focus on the software. iOS should have the right to a VR version.

From June 6 to 10, Apple will hold its WWDC conference dedicated to developers. As usual, the brand will present its new software there. We can expect to see 2022 iterations of iOS, Mac OS, or iPad OS. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman gives today some details on what could await us.

According to Gurman, Apple would have the idea to lift the veil on iOS 16, iPad OS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16 and watchOS 9. Revelations expected so far. But the journalist also specifies that HomePod 16 would be presented, without indicating whether this is a product or an OS.

Gurman states that iOS 16 would not be deeply modified and should therefore keep the design that we know today. However, it should bring innovations in health. We know that it is the great battle horse of the brand which should so continue in that direction.

iOS 16 should however contain links with rOS, the operating system dedicated to virtual reality at Apple. We could even have the right to a demo during the conference. It should be noted that the firm would have no intention of showing its helmet (Apple Glass) in June. For that, we will have to wait a little longer. The leaks suggest a formal presentation during a keynote at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023.

As usual, we should therefore have the right to a long opening conference in which Apple will detail all its new features. We should not hope for the announcement of a new product, the brand having the habit of reserving this agreement to its software part only. As for iOS, the version presented in June should be available during the month of September, when the new iPhones are released, as usual.
